Tah Tong, founded in 1958, is a textile mill focusing on the manufacturing of cotton yarn, a broad range of blended yarns, greige and a variety of finished fabrics.  As the first textile mill to use automated production machines in Taiwan, we have continuously invested in upgrading our manufacturing capabilities.  In 1997, we entered into the field of new technological textiles where we started development of functional and environmental friendly materials.  We are also proud to be a part of the fashion industry and have enhanced our design capabilities with the latest trends to satisfy discriminating brands.

Tah Tong Textile Co., Ltd establishes its first spinning mill in Taichung.
Purchases 120 weaving machines to provide integrated service from spinning to weaving.
Establishes quality control unit and receives Excellent Quality Award for synthetic fibers.
Expands overseas sales; “Mandarin Duck” yarns become a success in southeast Asia.

Becomes a vertically integrated company with the establishment of Great Bell Printing and Dyeing Co., Ltd.

Receives Taiwan National Export Commendation award and Exporter Quality Excellence Award for 3 years consecutively.
Taiwan’s first automated plant is established in Chungli.
Tah Tong becomes a public listed company.

Enters new technical textile fields, dedicates in the development of multi-functional blended yarns.
Great Bell receives ISO 9002 certification, providing global quality assurance to customers.
Great Bell receives ISO 14001 certification, which shows its dedication to the environment.
Shanghai office is established.
Enters markets for outdoor fabrics.
Fabric revenues accounts for considerate portion of Tah Tong sales.

Tah Tong implements SAP ERP system to streamline operating processes and generate additional value for customers.
Invests in King-Tex in Shanghai, China.
Tah Tong Group’s 50th anniversary.
